Feliz Samhein pra todo mundo... se comemora amanhã, mas Deus sabe a hora em que eu vou conseguir colocar as mãos no computador. Afinal, hoje tem festa. :)
Samhein, the Celtic New Year
Samhein, marks the end of Summer and the beginning of Winter. Its historical origin is the Celtic Feast of the Dead. Samhein is the day used to communicate with and remember the Ancestors, as it is a day when the veil between the Worlds is at its thinnest. Divination is also heightened on this night.
Darkness increases and the Goddess reigns as the Cailleach, the Crone of the Earth.
Samhein is in 'essence' the time of descent into darkness from which new ideas and new life will ultimately spring. Remember, " from darkness comes the greatest growth".
It is traditional to offer an inner aspect of self that no longer works to the bonfire of Samhein...the Cauldron of the Goddess. This can be done by writing your need on a piece of paper. This then is the sacrifice to the Universe that creates rebirth.
