I walked across an empty land
I knew the pathway like the back of my hand
I felt the earth beneath my feet
Sat by the river and it made me complete

Oh simple thing where have you gone
I'm getting old and I need something to rely on
So tell me when you're gonna let me in
I'm getting tired and I need somewhere to begin

I came across a fallen tree
I felt the branches of it looking at me
Is this the place we used to love?
Is this the place that I've been dreaming of?

Oh simple thing where have you gone
I'm getting old and I need something to rely on
So tell me when you're gonna let me in
I'm getting tired and I need somewhere to begin

And if you have a minute why don't we go
Talk about it somewhere only we know?
This could be the end of everything
So why don't we go
Somewhere only we know?

Oh simple thing where have you gone
I'm getting old and I need something to rely on
So tell me when you're gonna let me in
I'm getting tired and I need somewhere to begin

And if you have a minute why don't we go

Hullo. Still alive.

Eu admito.

Tsc, tsc, tsc. De repente a cachorra e o michê viraram Romeu e Julieta. Eu mereço.

*/hysterical mode on*

O Hopes and Fears é um seríssimo candidato a disco do ano.

Cena de nudez de Colin Farrell é cortada

O novo filme de Colin Farrel, A Home At The End Of The World - em que ele interpreta um bissexual - faria a alegria de muitas fãs, pois teria uma cena de nu frontal do mais cobiçado galã de Hollywood. Faria...

Michael Mayer, o diretor do filme, disse: "Aquilo ia desconcentrar as pessoas".

Delicious.

Childhood home of Wordsworth brought back to life

£1m restoration of poet's birthplace in Cockermouth where he spent his 'sweet childish days' aims to inspire new generations

David Ward
Monday June 21, 2004
The Guardian

The house in the Lake District where William Wordsworth grew up "foster'd alike by beauty and by fear" reopens to the public tomorrow after a £1m refit designed to show how the child was father of the man.
"We want visitors to be inspired to go away and find out more about Wordsworth and his poetry," said Kate Hilton, curator of Wordsworth House, Cockermouth, where the poet was born in 1770. "And perhaps to find out more about life in 18th-century Cumbria."

The people of Cockermouth bought the grand Georgian house, the finest in the town, when it was about to be demolished to make way for a bus station, and gave it to the National Trust in 1938.

It has been closed for eight months for renovation, redecoration and even revolution: in some rooms visitors, especially children, will be encouraged to touch, play and make a noise. "We want children to behave as children do," Ms Hilton said.

The idea is that they should get some idea of the intense happiness William and his sister Dorothy knew in the house, with its walled garden and terrace overlooking the river Derwent. Wordsworth relived the memory in book one of The Prelude:

When, having left his
Mountains, to the Towers
Of Cockermouth that
beauteous River came,
Behind my Father's House
he pass'd close by,
Along the margin of our
Terrace Walk.
He was a Playmate whom
we dearly lov'd.
Oh! many a time have I, a
five years' Child,
A naked Boy, in one
delightful Rill,
A little Mill-race sever'd
from his stream,
Made one long bathing of a
summer's day ...

"William and Dorothy were allowed a degree of freedom to roam and play and that experience of childhood was critical to the man he was to become," Ms Hilton said. "We want to convey to visitors the way the family lived here."

The Wordsworths were living above their station: the poet's father, John, occupied the house as agent to the landowner and politician Sir James Lowther, who was known as Wicked Jimmy.

Sir James used the best rooms at the front for entertaining; the Wordsworths lived in humbler rooms at the back. But the idyll did not last. Anne Wordsworth died in 1778, leaving five young children. William, then seven, was shipped off to school in Hawkshead, mourning the mother he later described as "the heart and hinge of all our learnings and our loves"; Dorothy, who was six, was sent to Halifax.

Admirers wanting to continue the Wordsworth story will be able to move on to Dove Cottage, the poet's modest home in Grasmere, and then to Rydal Mount, where he lived in his retirement.

The renovation and reinterpretation of the Cockermouth house, funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund, Rural Regeneration Cumbria and the European Regional Development Fund, was prompted by a rethink about its future.

"The idea was that the house needed to change if it was to stay open permanently," Ms Hilton said.

"Cockermouth, which is off the usual Lake District tourist routes, does not get thousands of visitors and numbers here were dwindling. We had to think carefully about what we could do. The house is significant as the childhood home of William and Dorothy Wordsworth and it seemed best to present it as that."

What followed was a four-year research programme to find out what the house would have looked like in the second half of the 18th century and what life was like in Cockermouth in the same period.

Adults will see the elegant dining room and panelled drawing room with a recreation of the "large and handsome Wilton carpet" that a contemporary sale advertisement revealed had graced its floor.

They will also admire the hangings on Anne Wordsworth's four-poster and wonder at how the trust's craftspeople scraped up to 14 layers of paint off the walls to find and apply the muted colours the Wordsworths would have known.

In an upstairs bedroom, children will be free to bounce on the bed's horsehair mattress and play with modern recreations of Georgian toys.

Visitors who are not easily embarrassed will be able to chat with the Wordsworths' servants - clerk, nursemaid, manservant, general maid and cook (in a functioning 18th-century kitchen).

"We have brought the house to life," Ms Hilton said. "The trust has tried very hard to make it accessible in every way to a large audience."

The hope is that, after a little emotion recollected in tranquillity, future generations will, like William and Dorothy, "talk of sunshine and of song, / And summer days, when we were young; / Sweet childish days that were as long / As twenty days are now".

Coqueiros & Pirralhofobia

O coqueiro. Meu pai tomou o maior susto.

I
I will be king
And you
You will be queen
Though nothing will
Drive them away
We can beat them
Just for one day
We can be Heroes
Just for one day

And you
You can be mean
And I
I'll drink all the time
'Cause we're lovers
And that is a fact
Yes we're lovers
And that is that

Though nothing
Will keep us together
We could steal time
Just for one day
We can be Heroes
For ever and ever
What d'you say

I
I wish you could swim
Like the dolphins
Like dolphins can swim
Though nothing
Will keep us together
We can beat them
For ever and ever
Oh we can be Heroes
Just for one day

I
I will be king
And you
You will be queen
Though nothing
Will drive them away
We can be Heroes
Just for one day
We can be us
Just for one day

I
I can remember
Standing
By the wall
And the guns
Shot above our heads
And we kissed
As though nothing could fall
And the shame
Was on the other side
Oh we can beat them
For ever and ever
Then we can be Heroes
Just for one day

We can be Heroes
We can be Heroes
We can be Heroes
Just for one day
We can be Heroes
We're nothing
And nothing will help us
Maybe we're lying
Then you better not stay
But we could be safer
Just for one day

You're Watership Down!

by Richard Adams

Though many think of you as a bit young, even childish, you're
actually incredibly deep and complex. You show people the need to rethink their
assumptions, and confront them on everything from how they think to where they
build their houses. You might be one of the greatest people of all time. You'd
be recognized as such if you weren't always talking about talking rabbits.

If you see me sliding
Say we're gonna slide together

If you see me hiding
Tell me I can hide forever

Come
With me now
As now I run
Show me how to be someone
Let me fly into your sun

When my clouds are crying
Say your gonna change my weather

If you hear me lying
Its never when we lie together

Come
With me now
As now I run
Show me how to be someone
Let me fly into your sun

If you see me sliding
Pray that I wont slide forever

If you see me hiding
Say that we can hide together

Come
With me now
Cos now I run
Show me how to be someone
Let me fly into your sun

Come
With me now
Cos now I run
Show me how to be someone
Let me fly into your sun

Schumacher e italianos ironizam Barrichello

E vivo perigosamente.

Voltei a escrever minha fanfiction.

That's all, folks.

Duchovny: X-Files 2 On The Way

David Duchovny told the British Teletext Web site that a second X-Files movie is in the works. "We're all on the same page," Duchovny (Fox Mulder) told the site. "Gillian Anderson [Dana Scully] wants to do it. I want to do it. [The X-Files creator] Chris Carter, who would write and produce the film, wants to do it. And I believe Fox the studio wants to do it."

Duchovny added, "When you have the four major players in the enterprise wanting to do it, it will happen. It's just a matter of when. I hope it happens within the next year." The 43-year-old star quit the TV show before it was canceled, but said he was eager to play Mulder again. "I think it would be fun at this point, a few years removed, to get back into it and do it," he told the site.

Clarice, KM, Virginia & Sylvia

Mas li "The Waves" (meu favorito) e, obviamente, Mrs. Dalloway ("In people’s eyes, in the swing, tramp, and trudge; in the bellow and the uproar; the carriages, motor cars, omnibuses, vans, sandwich men shuffling and swinging; brass bands; barrel organs; in the triumph and the jungle and the strange high singing of some aeroplane overhead was what she loved; life; London; this moment of June"), e enlouqueci.

I want to give life and death, sanity and insanity; I want to criticize the social system, and to show it at work at its most intense. . . . Am I writing The Hours from deep emotion? Of course the mad part tries me so much, makes my mind squirt so badly that I can hardly face spending the next weeks at it. It's a question though of these
characters. People, like Arnold Bennett say I can't create, or didn't in Jacob’s Room, characters that survive. My answer is--but I leave that to the Nation; its only the old argument that character is dissipated into shreds now; the old post-Dostoievsky argument. I daresay it's true, however, that I haven’t that "reality" gift. I insubstantise, wilfully to some extent, distrusing reality--its cheapness. But to get further. Have I the power of conveying the true reality? Or do I write essays about
myself?

(do diário de Virginia)

My life has been stolen from me. I'm living in a town I have no wish to live in... I'm living a life I have no wish to live...

Sylvia me pegou pelo ponto fraco, poesia.

Meu irmão saiu do carro vivo. Um pouco assustado, mas ileso ;)

E hoje tem shopping & cinema. Thanks God and all saints in Heaven.

For Ray Charles

Everytime we say goodbye, I die a little,
Everytime we say goodbye, I wonder why a little,
Why the Gods above me, who must be in the know.
Think so little of me, they allow you to go.
When you're near, there's such an air of spring about it,
I can hear a lark somewhere, begin to sing about it,
There's no love song finer, but how strange the change from major to
minor,
Everytime we say goodbye.

When you're near, there's such an air of spring about it,
I can hear a lark somewhere, begin to sing about it,
There's no love song finer, but how strange the change from major to
minor,
Everytime we say goodbye.

The greatest F1 driver ever

Ainda tem alguma dúvida sobre isso? Confira a matéria da BBC, aqui. Aproveite e vote.

De aperitivo, o pedacinho onde eles descrevem o Ayrton:

Ayrton Senna was Formula One's great romantic hero, a sportsman who transcended the limits of his chosen arena and touched the lives of millions across the world.

The Brazilian was arguably the fastest man ever to sit in a Grand Prix car.

Senna behind the wheel was like a force of nature, taking his machinery to limits few believed could exist, as his record of 65 pole positions in 162 races attests.

In races, he was remorseless and intimidating, but he also had an incredible delicacy of touch which was most apparent in wet weather, where he was untouchable.

He lived to drive F1 cars, and while his incredible self-belief and determination were vital parts of his armoury, they sometimes overwhelmed Senna himself as well as his rivals.

He dominated his teams as well as his rivals by the sheer force of his personality, but he also went beyond the pale in pursuing his goals, most notably in the title-deciding collision with his nemesis Alain Prost in Japan in 1990.

Senna was just as formidable a presence out of the car.

He had a magnetic charisma married to a formidable intellect, a poetic eloquence in several languages and a rare willingness to confront and discuss the risks of his chosen profession.

He also invested a lot of time and money in helping disadvantaged street children in his home country, Brazil, a fact he kept to himself until shortly before his death.

All this came together in a man who changed the face of his sport - for the worse, by changing forever what was acceptable in terms of on-track behaviour, and for the better by taking F1 to an entirely new audience.

His impact became truly clear when he was killed in the 1994 San Marino Grand Prix, an event that kept everything else off the top of news bulletins across the world.

A atriz Maria Padilha representou Cleópatra. "Estou um pouco nervosa. É a primeira vez que me apresento numa favela.

A gente nunca viu nada igual.

Aw, poetry.

"O you singer solitary, singing by yourself, projecting me,
O solitary me listening, never more shall I cease perpetuating you,
Never more shall I escape, never more the reverberations,
Never more the cries of unsatisfied love be absent from
me,
Never again leave me to be the peaceful child I was before
what there in the night
By the sea under the yellow and sagging moon,
The messenger there arous'd, the fire, the sweet hell
within,
The unknown want, the destiny of me."

Enquanto isto, começava a chover.

Findiezinho relax total.

She kicks ass

E, assim, life goes on, sabem?

Dei um ataque semana passada e me refugiei em Louisa May Alcott. Me joguei, claro. E levei The Hours pra ler no Detran.

Anyway. Off to the movies. Have fun, kids.

Hermann Loves Pauline
(Super Furry Animals)

Hermann loves Pauline, and Pauline loves Hermann
They made love and gave birth, to a little German
They called him MC squared, cos he raps like no other
An astma sufferer, like a Ernesto Guevara
Too much MonteChristo number four
Pass the ventalin I need some more
We have ways of making you think!
Her and I believe there's much more to do
Than to just be a 2.4 family
Sanity, Personality ahaha.
(Chorus)
They never noticed him in school
They told me, he kept himself to himself
He used to sit and stare up at the ceiling
Hermann loves Pauline
They never noticed him at school
They told me, he kept himself to himself
He used to vacantly stare out the window
Feeling ener(gy)
Why do you do
What they tell you?
Marie Curie was Polish born and French bred
Hah! FRENCH BREAD!!!!
Or course she ended up dead from radiation
Slow, invisible, suffocation
At the 24 hour garage, or any service station
And as I lead my life as a quest for information
Surrounded by pies and books
Middle aged drivers and teenage cooks ahaha
They never noticed her at school...

Três vivas. Aí eu confirmo no blog do James:

Graças a Deus !

CREED have split after eight years and after selling almost 30 million albums.
The band, who have released three huge selling albums, have decided to call it a day to start working on other projects.

Vivo sonhando
Imaginando você
Imagino pegadas
E as vou seguindo

É tolice eu sei
Você não sente os meus passos
Mas eu imagino
Mas eu imagino (2x)

São tolices
o que penso sobre você
Você não pensa em mim
E andamos na mesma rua
Vivo sonhando
Imaginando você
Imagino pegadas
E as vou seguindo

Um olá talvez
Mas para mim de nada vale
Isso estragaria
O meu "faz de conta"

É tolice eu sei
Você não sente os meus passos
Mas eu imagino
Mas eu imagino (2x)

From the backstabbing co-worker to the meddling sister-in-law, you are in charge of how you react to the people and events in your life. You can either give negativity power over your life or you can choose happiness instead. Take control and choose to focus on what is important in your life. Those who cannot live fully often become destroyers of life.

Soundtrack of the day

There are things I want to do but I don't know
If they will be with you, if they will be with you
There are things I want to say but I don't know
If they will be to you, if they will be to you
Listen ever get a feeling when you're taken by the hand
And led a course you can't command
Went to bed but I'm not ready
Baby I've been fucked already
Falling into line but I'm doing nothing
We've got nothing worth discussing.
Went to go but it's all hazy
People say I'm going crazy.

All I know is all I know
What I've done I leave behind and
I don't know what sort to find me.
All I know is all I know
What I've done I leave behind and
I don't know what sort to find me.
All I know is all I know
What I've done I leave behind and
I don't know what sort to find me.

Soundtrack of the Day

Would you like who you were?
If you met them some place
Would you recognize the lines
On a stranger´s face
Would you know yourself
As good as i know you
Who do you love
Yeah who do you love

Would you write me a song
If I had your faith
Would you give me the money
If I had your smile
Oh, can you trust yourself
When you don´t trust nobody else
Who do you love
Yeah who do you love

Who do you love

Would you laugh if i told you
I don´t need nobody else
Would you laugh if i told you
i don´t want nobody else
Would you like yourself
If you knew what you have
But who do you love
Yeah who do you love

Who do you love
